Chevrolet was present and accounted for at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show. With perhaps one of the biggest static displays (not counting other brands' drive zones) Chevy had quite a bit to show off. From the new electrified AWD Corvette E-Ray to the new 2023 Chevy Colorado in Z71 and Trail Boss trims. They even snuck an LT trim of the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD into the show. (The last one snuck by yours truly, but friends of ours got it on camera!)
Front and center when entering the north hall of the show was the EV section of the Chevy booth. With their three Ultium-powered concepts to show off, the main focus of their booth was clearly to get consumers excited about the electric future of the brand. We saw the Silverado EV at this same show last year and even snagged an interview with the lead engineer.
The focus of this video centers around the most affordable concept to be shown on the Ultium platform in this 2024 Equinox EV. Slated to start "around $30,000" with an estimated range of up to 300 miles on a full charge (though we doubt those two stats will apply to the same vehicle) this looks to put the Tesla Model 3 on notice. Unfortunately, since this is the only version of this vehicle, it was closed for filming (though we do have some images with the door open on our website). In this video, I take you on a quick tour of what sets this one apart in the ever-increasing world of EVs.
