2023 Cadillac XT4 Sport: Caddy's Most Affordable Crossover

Cadillac has sold crossovers since the SRX made its debut as a 2004 model. That vehicle has changed size and its name over the years, but Cadillac still classifies the modern XT5 as a compact SUV. This 2023 XT4, as its name suggests, slots under the larger XT5 in the lineup and marks the first subcompact crossover in the luxury maker’s lineup.

Sharing a platform with the likes of the Buick Envision, which we have tested and really loved here at GT: Garage Talk, the XT4 aims to keep prices down while still offering a Cadillac experience. Starting at $36,295, the XT4 is the cheapest crossover in the lineup, and the only more affordable vehicle is the soon-to-be deceased CT4 sedan.

Our top trim Sport model stickers for S51,815, but brings quite a lot of standard and optional equipment with it, and does its best to imitate the larger XT5, XT6, and Escalade in the lineup, with a few smart touches not seen in those larger models like umbrella holders in the front doors.

If you are looking to get into the Cadillac brand with a striking vehicle with bold styling, the XT4 might be a great place for you to start.
